Grace Zhu (she/her) graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Teaching of English and a minor in Global Asian Studies, and received her MFA in fiction from Emerson College. She has worked previously on Redivider as Chief of Staff and Fiction Reader, and is current co-Editor in Chief of Shaved Ice Collective. Her works have appeared in Oxmag, RipRap, Fish Girl Collective, and others, and she has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Additionally, she was the guest judge for the 2025 Fall issue of Chrysalis. Her work primarily revolves around the intersection of horror, fabulism, queerness, women, and the Asian American literary tradition, particularly when it comes to issues of disconnect from one’s body and desire, the juxtaposition of horror and eroticism, and how marginalized people break temporality, taboo, and conventional language to express experiences previously rendered unspeakable under dominant power structures.
